WILLIAM THEODORE WOOLFOLK, JR.
, 75, retired professor of science and math, formerly of Tate County, MS, was born March 12, 1940 in Memphis, TN to the late William Theodore Woolfolk, Sr. and Marion Louise Peacock Woolfolk. He passed away October 5, 2015 at DeSoto Healthcare Center in Southaven, MS. Mr. Woolfolk was Valedictorian of Senatobia High School and a graduate of Southwestern at Memphis and Middle Tennessee State University. He was active in choir and band in high school, college, and with his church and the Al Chymia Shrine band. Hewas actively involved as a Scoutmaster with various Boy Scout troops and as an adult leader for Whitehaven DeMolay and Rainbow Girls masonic youths. He was a member and past master of Whitehaven Masonic Lodge #599 and member of DeSoto Masonic Lodge #299. He was also a member of the York Rite, Memphis Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shrine, Zaman Grotto, past worthy patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the Amaranth and the Sons of the Confederacy. He enjoyed gardening, reading, classical music, and dogs. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley F. Woolfolk; one daughter, Vivienne Woolfolk; one son, Walter Woolfolk; two grandchildren, Grace Woolfolk and Joshua Woolfolk; and severalcousins, whom he loved dearly. Visitation will be

from
2:30 p.m.
until the memorial service begins at 3 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 8245 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS 38672, where he was a member. There will be a reception following the service. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. Arrangements are in the care of Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven.
