William Bankston Campbell, known to his loved ones as "Bill," passed away on May 3, 2024, in Hernando, MS, surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was born on April 23, 1945, in Memphis, TN. William led a fulfilling life as a dedicated repair technician for various companies in the area and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He will always be remembered for his good nature, filled with jokes that could light up any room and people laugh. His vast knowledge and expertise allowed him to fix just about anything the right way, earning him admiration from all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Bill cherished memories of vacations to Florida, enjoying boating and water skiing, visiting friends and family, and pursuing his love for music while playing the guitar. His passion for music extended into his hobbies and interests, which included woodworking and fixing things.
Among his proudest accomplishments were becoming a loving father to Chris, renovating a houseboat to perfection, and mastering the art of fixing things and making them better.
William is survived by his devoted wife Andra (Woods) Campbell, beloved son Chris Campbell, cherished grandchildren Labriska Garcia and JB Burton, as well as great-grandchildren Sophia Brewer, Miley Fisk, and Rose Fisk. He is also survived by his sister Martha Knichel.
