Vincent Lee Widdows, 60, of Winona, Mississippi, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, July 6, 2019 at his home in Winona. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:00 at LifeSpring Church, 1090 Main Street, Southaven MS 38671. There will finger foods and an opportunity to visit with family and friends. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Vincent was born in Petaluma, California on July 20, 1958 and was an Air Force brat. He lived in many states as well as Germany while growing up. His family settled in the Memphis area and Vince graduated from Fairley High School in 1977. He obtained an Associate’s Degree from State Technical Institute. He worked in various industries including landscaping, restaurants, casinos, sales and security until he retired on disability. Vince enjoyed his dogs, especially rottweilers, motorcycles and teaching elementary children’s church.
Vincent leaves behind his only son, Zachary (Lauren) Widdows, his sister, Carrie (Frank) Bailey, his nephews, Roy Bailey and Ronnie Bailey as well as Roy’s daughter, Kynlea. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Nelle Widdows, and his siblings Kathy Widdows and Roy Widdows.
The family will announce a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org).
