Vera Mae Sessions

Vera Mae Sessions passed away  peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at her home in Horn Lake, Mississippi at the age of 88, surrounded by family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2022, at 12:30pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00pm, interment will immediately follow. All services will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E., Southaven, Mississippi, 38671.

Vera was born on January 19, 1934 in Attalla County, MS, to George and Ruby Hutchinson. She was a believer of the Baptist-Christian faith. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, flower arrangements, collecting Barbie Dolls, Beanie Babies & loving her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She was employed at Kimberly Clark till early 1960s, then was a stay at home mom for many years. After “the boys” got old enough she went back to work at The Donruss Company making bubble gum and producing baseball cards. She worked there till she retired in the early 1990’s.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life 4 sons: Carl Wayne (Barbara), Steve Daniel (Mary), Victor Tommy, and Charles Richard (Kathy).  1 brother, Ray Crittenden; Special Aunt to Patsy (Jackie).  Nanny to 13: Wayne Jr, Brandon, Wendy, Lori, Steve Jr, Nicholas, Wesley, Josh, Stacey, Jamie, Leenie, Carla and Jean Ann. She had 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is Preceded in death by 3 husbands (Daniel Mitchell, John Simmons & Chuck Sessions), her father and mother (George & Ruby Hutchison), brothers (Garry, Cecil, & Marvin) and her sister (Lorraine). She will be dearly missed.
