Steven Scott Sitzes, 53, of Cordova, TN, was born February 28, 1968, in Memphis, TN, and passed away April 22, 2021, at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, TN. Scott worked many years in the food industry. He loved cooking, traveling to New York, watching the New Orleans Saints, and taking care of his beloved dogs, Lucky and Gaby. His infectious laughter and smile will be missed.
Scott is survived by his father, Mearl Sitzes of Olive Branch, MS; his sisters, Marsha Reed (Gary) of Olive Branch, MS, and Cheryl McLean of Brentwood, TN; his brother Gary Sitzes (Terri) of Southaven, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his friend, David Farmer; caregivers, Joyce Avery, and Darlene Olive
He is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Sitzes.
A memorial graveside service will be held at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, MS, on Friday, May 21
st
at 1:00 PM. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
