Steven Andrew Drogmiller, known affectionately as Steve-O by his sister, was a beloved auto body repairman in Memphis, where he dedicated over 20 years of his life perfecting his craft. He was recognized as the best in his field and left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
Born in Cleveland, OH, on June 21, 1985, Steve grew up to be a man of many talents and passions. He graduated from Tennessee Tech in 2005 with an Associate's degree, setting the stage for a successful career ahead. Steve's honesty, dependability, kindness, generosity, and sense of humor endeared him to everyone he met. His happy and giving nature brightened the lives of those around him.
Steve's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He made it a daily ritual to call his Mom on his way to work and ask her "What's happening, Mama?", cherishing those moments spent catching up and sharing laughs. Memories of getting a buzz haircut from his brother, fishing trips with his Dad, going out west with his brother and dad before his brother got married, going to the beach in Gulf Shores, AL, and attending concerts with his parents brought him immense joy. He adored playing the guitar, often sharing this passion with his nephews and teaching them valuable skills. His playful teasing with his brother and the close bond he shared with his sister were cherished elements of his life.
In addition to his successful career and strong family ties, Steve found solace in playing the guitar, golfing, and scouring Goodwill for unique finds that brought a smile to his face. His proudest accomplishments included buying his first new house, truck, and Martin guitar – milestones that spoke volumes about his hard work and determination.
On February 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Region One Hospital in Memphis, Steve passed away. His legacy lives on through his surviving family members including his parents Michael Andrew and Darlene Teresa (Maynor) Drogmiller, Christopher Michael Drogmiller (Amanda), Andrea Teresa (Drogmiller) Walker (Billy), nephews Brayden Drogmiller and Landen Drogmiller, as well as aunts, uncles, numerous cousins – all of whom deeply feel the loss of this remarkable individual.
Steven Andrew Drogmiller will be remembered for his warmth, humor, talent, and unwavering love for those around him. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
