Stephen Hood Warren, affectionately known as Steve, joined his parents Shirley Hill and Jimmie (Walls) Warren, brothers Timothy Gregg Warren and George Warren, and sister Deborah Fielder on July 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. Born June 11, 1946, in Pontotoc, MS, Steve's life was a tapestry woven with threads of humor, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family.

After proudly serving in the United States Army, Stephen embarked on a remarkable career path that saw him retire from MLGW after dedicating 27 years of service. He then went on to own and operate Backflow Sales and Service with passion and diligence.

Steve's true joys in life were found in the simple moments - cherishing the birth of his children, documenting their birthdays with a camera always in hand. He was a true family man at heart, finding immense happiness in spending time with his loved ones.

Renowned for his jovial nature and quick wit, Steve was lovingly referred to as "The Big Jokester" by friends and family. His contagious laughter and ever-present jokes lit up any room he entered. Whether at work or play, Steve's sense of humor never failed to bring smiles to those around him.

In addition to his thriving career and vibrant personality, Steve cultivated various hobbies and interests that brought him joy. From loving his loyal companion Sully to nurturing pecan trees in his backyard, his passions reflected his nurturing spirit. He adored visits to the casino and relished evenings spent enjoying a hearty meal at the steakhouse - savoring the biggest steak with a side of lobster tail.

Among Steve's proudest accomplishments were becoming a devoted father and grandfather. He held dear memories of visiting Gulf Shores and being the first guest at the Wyndemere Hotel while it was still under construction - a testament to his adventurous spirit.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife Patricia "Pat" (Jones) Warren; his daughter Ashley Warren; his son Stephen Andrew "Andy" Warren (Nichole); two grandchildren Devin Parker and Brooklyn Youngblood; two great-grandchildren Heidi and Alayna Warren; as well as his brother Bruce Warren.

In remembrance of Steve's life well-lived, visitation will be held on August 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location, with burial taking place at 12:00 PM.
