Sharon Lammey Rhea, age 67, of Southaven, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island to the late James Morton and Mary Veronica (Lynch) Lammey.
Sharon, otherwise known as The Fairy Godmother, was a Teacher’s Assistant at Southaven Elementary and later at Hope Sullivan Elementary Schools and later worked at Home Depot in the garden department. She was a devout Christian and a member of Southaven First United Methodist Church and was in the church choir. She loved plants, making cookies, and working on crafts in her craft room, but to her, her family was everything, our angel on earth. She was truly loved by everyone.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jack Rhea, daughter Amy Roberts (Ricky) of Southaven, grandchildren Brynden Mayfield and Allexys Roberts of Southaven, brother Jim Lammey, Jr. (Maria) of Bartlett, TN, her brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Regina Rhea and Jan and Wayne Lacy, and her furbaby, Pete.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Southaven First United Methodist Church, 723 Star Landing Road East, Southaven from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
