Southaven, MS

Sandra Lynn Jones, born on February 19, 1951, in Henderson, Kentucky, graced this world with her caring spirit for over seventy-three years. She departed from our lives on October 11, 2024, in Southaven, Mississippi, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and cherished memories.

Sandra was a devoted wife to Winston Jones, with whom she shared fifty-four beautiful years. Their love story was one filled with laughter, support, and unwavering commitment. Together, they cultivated a nurturing home for their beloved children, Heather Casey and Robert Jones. Sandra took immense pride in her role as a mother and found great fulfillment in watching her family's love grow as she doted on her six cherished grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Sandra’s faith journey began in the Methodist church, but her spiritual path led her to convert to Baptist, where she found solace and community. Throughout her life, she was embraced by many close friends, including Tina, Becky, and another Sandra, all of whom knew her as a woman whose warmth and compassion touched their hearts.

She was loved by everyone fortunate enough to know her; her infectious smile and kind words left a lasting impression on many. Generosity of spirit defined Sandra's approach to life, embodying the essence of friendship and family. She was a sister, daughter, and friend who was deeply missed by her family, including her mother, Grace Lilly; her siblings, Renee, Larry, Ricky, and Colleen Long (Tom); and her sister Cynthia Melton.

Though she mourned the loss of her father, Gene Lilly, and sisters Roxie Andrews, Cheryl Rogers and Sister-In-Law Vicky Perkins, Sandra’s life remained a beacon of light—one that continues to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

Sandra Lynn Jones leaves behind an incredible tapestry of relationships woven with love, joy, and countless unforgettable moments. Her legacy will endure through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched along her journey. As we gather to honor her memory, we will forever carry a piece of her in our whispers of laughter, glances of kindness, and acts of love.
