, 2020. Ruth was a retired cosmetologist and homemaker and a active member of the First Baptist Church of Horn Lake for 64 years. It was there that she met many of her lifelong friends. Ruth was a kind gentle sweet lady who loved gardening and her flowers, but her special love was being with her family, friends and the fellowship of her church.

Ruth was born in the small Texas town of Honey Grove on May 22, 1922, the 1

daughter of Simon (Sam) Bradshaw and Alma Prickett Bradshaw. She was a graduate of Roxton high school. Ruth married Willis (Red) Jones on December 21, 1946. At the beginning they lived in many different states from TX to MA before moving to DeSoto County in 1956. Many times, living in tents and trailers while working on construction projects along the MS River and other locations.

Ruth is survived by her two sons, Dewey L. (Rita) of Horn Lake and Robert G. “Robbie” (Debbie) of Southaven. Three grandchildren James B. “Jamey” Jones (Angie) of Southaven, Justin M. Jones (Tabitha) of Hernando and Kelley Ruth Taylor (Mac) of Olive Branch. Eight Great grandchildren, Jackson Jones, Jacob “Jake” Jones, Jada G. Jones, Julia C. Jones, Johnathan C. Jones, Jaylee D. Jones, Ella Ruth Taylor, Robert Mac “Butch” Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Willis “Red” Jones, her parents Sam and Alma Bradshaw, infant son Donald Ray Jones, infant daughter Linda Ruth Jones and siblings Ruby B. Cooper, W.E. “Buck” Bradshaw, Robert Wayne Bradshaw and Mildred B. Bonner.
