However, Ruby Mae's most cherished role was that of a family matriarch. Her genuine love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. The memories they share are a testament to her warm and nurturing spirit. Ruby Mae made it a priority to take food to school every day for her grandson, ensuring he had nutritious meals with love packed in each bite.

A generous soul with a heart full of kindness, Ruby Mae had a habit of doing things for others on her birthday. She understood the joy of giving back and used this special occasion to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her. In addition to these acts of kindness, she selflessly helped one of her friends when their son couldn't be around to provide care — a true demonstration of Ruby Mae's unwavering support.

Among Ruby Mae's proudest accomplishments was being a devoted mother to her two wonderful daughters and a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. In celebration of her husband Ken's 50th birthday, Ruby Mae orchestrated a surprise party that brought joy to his heart—an event that showcased her thoughtfulness and love.

Ruby Mae will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind her beloved husband Kenneth Douglas, who shared an unbreakable bond with her throughout their journey together. Ruby Mae Douglas is preceded in death by some of those closest to her were David Bushnell (father), Florence (Pasley) Bushnell (mother), as well as Anna Belle Fischer (sister) and her loyal grand dog Beau.
