Rose "Cissy" Caraway, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peaceably on May 30, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on February 5, 1936, in Paducah, Kentucky, Cissy was a light in the lives of all who knew her.
Cissy, as she was lovingly known to friends and family, was a living testament to her deep Christian faith, expressed through her unwavering service to others. She exemplified the virtues of compassion and generosity in every aspect of her life.
Mrs. Caraway is survived by her daughter, Tammy Wolverton of Benton, Kentucky; her sons, Ron Caraway (Rosemary) of Murray, Kentucky and Alan Caraway (Susan) of South Haven, Mississippi; her sisters, Martha Wurth of Lamars, Iowa and Velma “Dee Dee” Felts of Paducah; her brother, Charles “Pete” Felts (Kathy) of Lone Oak, Kentucky; her 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Caraway was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Willard H. Caraway; her daughter, Joan Kendall; her parents, Herschel Felts and Mary Louise Luigs Felts.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce Fogle officiating.
Visitation, prior to the service, will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the church.
A visitation will be held at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, in South Haven, Mississippi, from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 6, 2024, with burial to follow at Hernando Memorial Park in Hernando, Mississippi.
