Ronnie G. Bowen, Sr.

Ronnie G. Bowen Sr., 71, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Desoto on December 15, 2017 He was born in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Joseph and Willie Bowen. Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Halonna Bowen; three sons, J.J. Bowen, Ronnie Bowen, Jr, and Timothy Rines; one sister, Ann Barnes; and six grandchildren, Kara Bowen, Marcus Bowen, Peyton Rines, Addyson Erhardt, Jade Bowen, and Bryce Bowen. He was a member of a few bands where he played the drums. He not only loved watching Memphis Basketball, he also coached basketball for the children at the YMCA. Family was very important to him and he loved his children more than anything else in this world. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Shannon Bowen; two brothers, Joseph Bowen, Jr. and Marvin Bowen; and three sisters, Lorraine Deisher, Lauren Nelson, and Betty George. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Graceview Presbyterian Church in Southaven, MS from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Graceview Presbyterian Church at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. John Tucker officiating. Interment will be held at Autumn Woods Memorial Park in Olive Branch MS. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be sent to Graceview Presbyterian Church.
