Robert Gordan Alexander, Jr.

Robert Gordon Alexander, Jr., 76, passed away on June 21, 2021.  He was born in McComb, MS, but resided in Southaven, MS since 1969.  A highly skilled ironworker, Robert was employed by Chicago Bridge and Iron in Memphis for 15 years.  After which, the Lord blessed him with his own welding service business for well over 20 years, where he spent the majority of that  as a full time contractor for Shannon Lumber Company.  Robert was a long time member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church, in which he attended Sunday School, and along with his wife of 57 years, Patricia, taught in the children’s Sunday School class.  He also was a member of the church building maintenance committee. Robert served honorably in the US Army National Guard from 1962 to 1966. He was also a full Mason. Robert’s hobbies included fishing, camping, and leather crafting.  He was preceded in death by his wife Patrician Ann Alexander, his parents Lula Mae Alexander and Robert Gordon Alexander Sr., his grandson Daniel Alexander, Son-in-law Chris Richards, sister Geneva Westbrook, brother-in-law Neil Westbrook, half brother John Percer, brother in law TJ Bankston, and sister’s in law Ilene and Barbara Bankston, and nephew Greg Bankston. Survivor’s include two sons Nathan Alexander and his wife Sherry, Tim Alexander and his wife Sharon, Daughter Carol Richards, 3 grandsons Shawn Alexander, Cameron Richards, Will Stewart and his wife Ashley, Great Grandson Harvey Alexander, brothers in law Reggie Bankston, and Victor Bankston and wife Joann, twin sisters Irene Alexander and Florene Bridges, brother- in- law, Bobby Bridges and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Carriage Hills Baptist Church (8352 Farmington Drive W, Southaven, MS 38671).
