In loving memory of Ricky Wallace Feathers, a devoted stagehand at the Orpheum Theatre and skilled construction worker, who sadly passed away in Horn Lake, MS. Ricky was born on January 14, 1962 in Memphis, TN, and left us on March 13, 2024.
Ricky found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when he was fishing and hunting alongside his beloved son. His kind-hearted nature shone through as he selflessly helped anyone in need without a second thought. Ricky's sister once described him as the most beautiful baby she had ever seen, a sentiment that reflects the love and admiration he garnered throughout his life.
Among his proudest accomplishments was building his own racecar, showcasing his determination and passion for craftsmanship. Apart from his dedicated work ethic, Ricky also enjoyed trapping foxes and coyotes, indulging in outdoor adventures, and frequent visits to the casino for some excitement and drinks.
Ricky's presence was larger than life; his wild and crazy personality endeared him to many. He was known to go above and beyond for his family and friends, always willing to go the extra mile or stand up for what he believed in. His toughness was unmatched, yet it was softened by his generosity and loyalty towards those he held dear.
Ricky is survived by his loving son Ricky Hunter Feathers, daughters Sherrie Heart Feathers and Candace Patterson, as well as his sister Wanda Vanzant, brother Charles "Bubba" (Lynn) Feathers, niece Charley Feathers, nephew Brad Vanzant, great-niece Kallie Latham, and his cherished fur baby beagle Baby Girl. He is preceded in death by his parents Charlie A. and Rosemary A. (Hardy) Feathers and brother-in-law Billy Vanzant.
Services to honor and celebrate Ricky's life will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Southaven on Monday, March 18, 2024 with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm, followed by burial at Forest Hill Memorial Park South in Memphis.
