Richard Alston Hewitt Jr., affectionately known as "Bubba," left this world on March 7, 2025, at the age of 68, following a very short illness. Born on March 5, 1957, in Waco, Texas, he grew up embodying the virtues of hard work and dedication, traits that would serve him well throughout his life and career.

Richard’s journey was one of unwavering determination; he worked his way from the bottom to the top, a testament to his resilience and tenacity. A dedicated individual, he always did whatever was necessary to achieve his goals, embodying the spirit of perseverance. His unwavering commitment to his family was his proudest accomplishment. He was the epitome of selflessness, putting the needs of his loved ones above his own, always prioritizing his family's well-being.

Richard’s personality lit up every room he entered. He had an innate ability to make everyone’s life easier; his helpful nature and dedication did not go unnoticed. His quick wit and humor made him a joy to be around, leaving many with cherished memories of laughter and good times. Whether it was playing golf, barbecuing in the backyard, immersing himself in video games, or enjoying peaceful moments of fishing, Richard embraced life with passion and enthusiasm.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, and their children: Richard, Jessica, Kristopher, Kylie, Chyanne, Evan, and Jolene. He is also remembered fondly by his brother, Phillip, his nephew, West Warner, and a mountain of friends who were blessed to know him.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Doris Hewitt, and his son, Aaron. He also mourned the loss of his siblings, Mary, Phylis, and Donna, who have surely welcomed him with open arms.
