Rebecca Hodges Scott

August 16, 1951 — December 8, 2024

Rebecca Hodges Scott, lovingly known as Becky, passed peacefully at her home in Horn Lake, Mississippi, on December 8, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1951, in Virginia, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Becky was the embodiment of strength and kindness, leading her life with an unwavering faith in the Lord. Her outgoing nature and vibrant spirit brought joy to everyone around her, and she was known as the strongest woman many had the pleasure of knowing. Becky had a servant's heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word to those in need.

Throughout her life, she created a treasure trove of memories with her beloved husband, Ronald Scott. Together, they relished their time spent at the beach, where they shared countless stories, laughter, and sunsets. Becky’s love for travel, fishing, and shopping allowed her to experience the world around her, but it was her family that she held most dear.

Becky was a proud mother to her children, Chris Scott and Natalie (Kevin) Smith, and her heart swelled with joy for her grandchildren, Austin Scott, Caleb Smith, and Aubrey Smith. They were her bright stars, and she embraced each moment spent with them.

In addition to her immediate family, Becky is survived by her siblings, Lee (Ellen) Hodges and Betty (Bob) Sternburgh, along with a host of cherished nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She will forever be remembered for her warmth and loving spirit, which touched the lives of so many.

Becky's legacy lives on through the values she instilled in her family and the countless individuals she uplifted throughout her life. Her parents, Austin Lee and Bessie Louise Hodges, as well as her sibling, Eddie Hodges, now welcome her into eternal peace.

A visitation will be held in her honor on December 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church located at 2101 Colonial Hills Dr, Southaven, MS. Becky will be laid to rest at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home following the service, from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

As we celebrate the life of Rebecca Hodges Scott, we remember a remarkable woman whose love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
