RALPH B. “SMITTY” “SNUFFY” SMITH,
78, was born March 26, 1937 in Tabor City, NC and passed away September 8, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto in Southaven, MS. He was a retired Navy veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Nesbit, MS. Mr. Smith was a retired boilermaker/welder and a member of Boilermaker Local 263. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorene Smith of Hernando; two sons, Raph Bruce Smith II of Hernando and Andy Ghettie of Hernando; two daughters, Judy Smith Collins of Collierville, TN and Lisa D. Ghettie of Hernando; and three grandchildren, Candace Nicole Collins of Columbia, SC, Dillon Michael Collins of Oakland, TN, and Lane Ghettie of Hernando. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillon and Lillie Smith; three brothers; two sisters; and his in-laws, Willie and Ollie Reese. Visitation will be

Saturday, September 12

1 p.m.
until the service begins at
2 p.m.
at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Nesbit, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the American Heart Association.
