Paul was born on May 24, 1980 in Jackson, MS. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Some of his past times were raising snakes. Paul had a big heart and cared deeply for his family and friends. Paul was easy to talk to. A great shoulder to lean on. He could be trusted to keep your secret. He was the guy we all knew to be bigger than life.
Paul was a pit bull advocate and enthusiast who loved his dogs probably more than the average person. For a few years, he was owner/operator of Sims Reptiles and remained an active administrator within Reptile Keepers of the Midsouth.
Paul’s idea of a good time was firing up a grill and being surrounded by family and friends. He was a good cook and loved cooking. He loved going fishing. He was the life of the party. His absence will be felt by us all. He took a big piece of our heart with him.
Paul was truly one of a kind and will be missed by those closest to him.
He leaves behind his children, Jordan Chase McVeigh, Anna Elizabeth McVeigh, Alesha Renee McVeigh; mother, Jo Ann Sims; brothers, Joseph Sims (Sherry), James Andrew Sims, and Micheal Wayne Skeen, Jr. (KimberliAnn Georgette); sister, Kristi Machelle Hindberg Berry.
