Patricia Ann Windland, affectionately known as Tricia, was born on July 24, 1952, in the small town of Converse, Louisiana. After a life filled with kindness, joy, and purpose, Tricia gracefully departed from this world on March 29, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by the love of her close family after a brief battle.
Tricia dedicated many years of her life to the banking industry, culminating in a stellar career in electronic banking. Her expertise and hard work led to opportunities that took her beyond borders, including the honor of being invited to speak in Milan, Italy. Her professional accomplishments were a testament to her commitment and intelligence, but it is her warm personality that defined her most profoundly. Tricia was known for her kindness, caring nature, and generosity that touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her heart was boundlessly full of love and pride for her many nieces and nephews along with her great-nieces and nephews, who were the light of her life. The memories they created together cherished moments spent at the beach, where she found tranquility and joy, remain etched in their hearts. Those sun-kissed days and shared laughter will forever remind them of the cherished aunt they adored.
Tricia was a woman of deep faith, a Christian who believed in the importance of servitude to others. She was supportive, funny, and fun-loving.
She is survived by her beloved brother, William Paul Hunter (June), and sister, Diana Wilkerson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and family who carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. Additionally, Tricia leaves behind numerous special friends who will miss her dearly and remember the warmth of her spirit.
Preceding her in death were her treasured husband, Sidney C. Windland, and her siblings, Donald Ray Hunter and Linda Hunter Cox. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who remain, reminding us of the beautiful impact Tricia had during her time with us.
As we remember Tricia, let us celebrate the profound love she shared, the inspiring life she led, and the indelible mark she has left on this world. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly, a guiding light in the lives of so many.
Per Tricias' wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please consider making a contribution to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
