Patricia Jan Mansfield, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Southaven, Mississippi. Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). Interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Pastor Arch will be ministering the services. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Patricia, was born on October 4, 1939, in Cartersville, GA. She was a faithful Methodist. Patricia “Ms Pat” worked 33 years as a teacher’s assistant for Walls Elementary School. She was featured as a Local Hero in the Desoto Times in 2004. Most of all Patricia loved her family more than anything in the world and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Mansfield of Southaven, and Jan Bell (JD) of Hernando; grandchildren; Aaron Mansfield (Tiffany), Josh Capocaccia (Katie), Jessica Capocaccia Lucius, Julia Bland-Warren, and Daniel Bland; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Cason, Braylon, Dawson, Jack, Cooper, Hunter, Haylee, Robert, Caleb & Brooklyn. Siblings: Joann Holcombe of Adairsville, GA, Ruben Sullins (Inez) of Acworth, GA, and James Sullins (Barbara) of Marietta, GA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald Mansfield; daughter, Lynn Bland; parents, JT and Grace Sullins; brother, Bobby L. “Bob” Sullins; son-in-law, Carl Bland; great-granddaughter, Sarah Grace Warren,
