Parker Bradley McElroy, age 39, passed away December 14, 2021, in Nesbit, MS, surrounded by family. There will be a visitation on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral at 12:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Walls, MS. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at New Bethlehem Church in Horn Lake, MS.
Mr. McElroy was born on April 1, 1982, to John McElroy and Cynthia (Golson) McElroy in Springfield, MO. He accepted Christ as a teenager and was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher at Bethel Baptist Church in Walls, MS. He was a veteran of 16 years in the United States Air Force and a Staff Sergeant. He had more than 14 deployments and also worked services at Arlington National Cemetery and Honor Guard in Washington DC. He loved his family and was a dedicated, involved father of six children.
Parker leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Veronica McElroy; children, Aaron, Thomas, Samuel, Ryla, Amelia, Gideon; parents, John and Cynthia McElroy; siblings, Margo and John Hays, Rebecca and Timothy Hughes, John and Jessica McElroy, Jr.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Mark and Rita McElroy and J.C. and Margaret Golson, and great-grandmother Roma Powell.
The family would like to extend our appreciation to the hospice caregivers, our church family, and the many family friends that have assisted and prayed for us, during Parker’s illness.
