Opal “Grace” Jones

Opal “Grace” Jones, age 86, passed away on April 16, 2022, in Southaven, MS. Services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Visitation will be at 12:00 pm and funeral at 1:00 pm, followed by graveside service at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Southaven, MS.

Mrs. Jones was born on May 7, 1935, in Thaxton, MS to the late Lonzo Wiley Fuller and Autice May Waldrup Fuller. She was a woman of God, a devoted member of Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven for over 30 years, and she enjoyed worshipping with the Sunday-School Ladies. Everyone who met her loved her. She was soft spoken and kind. Beautiful inside and out. Very clean, neatly dressed, and ironed everything she wore. She loved gardening, jewelry, and was a great cook. She was a loving mother, and just like her name, full of Grace.

Grace will be remembered by her daughters, Sherry Tucker, Judi Adair; grandchildren, Julie Chandler, Whitney Hutchins (Shane), Allison Adair; great-grandchildren, Gregory Chandler (Sarajane), Jacob Chandler, Ben Hutchins, Abbey Hutchins, David Hutchins, Maddie Hutchins; great-great grandchildren, Emogene Chandler, William Chandler; sister, Betty (Winnie) Crawsom.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Roger Jones; parents, Lonzo and Autice Fuller; brother, Norris Fuller; sister, Reva Patterson.
