Oliver Lee Hensley

Oliver Lee Hensley, age 82, passed away on December 12, 2021, in Horn Lake, MS. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral to start at 11:00 am, at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. Burial services will follow at 1:30 pm at Evansville Baptist Church Cemetery, 471 Evansville Rd., Coldwater, MS 38618.

Mr. Hensley was born on June 6, 1939, in Coldwater, MS, to James Hensley and Willie Sanders. He liked to hunt, fish, and wood-crafting. He loved gardening and his dog, Petie. He joined the United States Army in 1958 and was Honorably Discharged in 1964, receiving a Good Conduct Medal. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Horn Lake, MS.

Oliver leaves behind: his wife of 62 years, Kay Hensley; children, Sharon Malone (Arnold), Paula Durley (Chris), Patricia Keel (Keith); grandchildren, Matt Malone, Michael Malone, Hayleigh Malone, Stephen Hensley, Kevin Hensley, Dayna Bristol, Hollie Parham, Kelley Thierfelder, Courtney Loftis, Colton Keel, Jessica Pruwitt; great-grandchildren, Mattie, Grant, Levi, Broc, Gray, Roslyn, Bennett, Savannah, Jack, Nora, Harper, Knox; siblings, Juanita Brown, Thomas Hensley, Sherman Hensley.

Preceded in death: children, Oliver Lee Hensley, Jr., Jamie Hensley.
