93, homemaker, was born March 30, 1923 in Port Gibson, MS and passed away May 25, 2016 at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis. Mrs. Summerford was an Army veteran of WWII. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Summerford Farrelly of Memphis; one son, Howard R. Summerford of Bridgeton, ME; one sister, Edna Bridger Morris of Bartlett, TN; four grandchildren, Matthew Perkins (Meredith) of Houston, TX, Michael Summerford (Karla) of Peculiar, MO, Alex Summerford of Olathe, KS, and Samantha Summerford Neal of Grandview, MO; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” O. Summerford; son-in-law, Craig D. Farrelly; mother, Melissa Bridger; father, Jones Bridger; two brothers, A.J. Bridger, Jr. and Marcus Bridger; and two sisters, Evelyn Bridger Williams and Louise Bridger Whitener. Visitation will be

at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Honor Flight of Middle Tennessee, Sergeant Major Larry C. Williams, P.O. Box 188, Monteagle, TN 37356.
