Norman Alphis Maynard, age 80 passed away on February 16, 2022, in Southaven, MS. There are no services scheduled at this time.
Mr. Maynard was born on January 22, 1942, in Leachville, Arkansas to Myrl and Violet Wilson Maynard. He had a long career as an accountant and real estate agent. He was Baptist and a member of the Memphis Masonic Lodge #118.
He was a talented musician, avid fisherman, animal lover, and enthusiast in everything boating/automotive. He was a master in both the art of organization as well as the science of tinkering. There was a place for everything, everything was in its place, and uniformly labeled. Until his last days, he could accurately tell you exactly where anything could be found, regardless of how small or elusive. Through the years he developed an unprecedented skill in the craft of “fastentry”. He could attach just about anything through the appropriate application of screws, bolts, tape, clips, snaps or his absolute favorite, VELCRO.
Loved ones Norman leaves behind include his wife of 60 years, Gilda Maynard; son, Keith Maynard, daughter in law Pamela; grandchild, Shannon Maynard; great grandchild, Nolan Wade; and two Yorkies, Gracie and Spanky.
In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations be sent to Tunnel To Towers Foundation. (t2t.org)There are no services scheduled at this time.
