Mrs. Nancy Lou Turner, 81, of Lake Cormorant, MS, was called home to be with the Lord, February 9, 2018. She was born September 18, 1936 in Fairmont, WV to Mr. George Howard and Mrs. Rebecca Pearl Barnes.
She was a retired medical coder who worked in medical records. Mrs. Turner absolutely loved children and her sole purpose in life was to pour her heart into her family. She was a very talented woman, whom loved cooking, singing, and especially square dancing. Mrs. Turner loved to play games, no matter the nature of them. You could often find her on Facebook playing Candy Crush or watching Jeopardy, adding up the money she would have won if she was on the show. She also enjoyed working her crossword puzzles and going out shopping. Mrs. Turner was a member of Getwell Church for the past six years, and she loved the Lord with all her heart. Her legacy will continue to live on through the memories she made with her family and friends.
Mrs. Turner is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Wayne Turner and his wife Melissa, and Kenneth Edward Turner both of Cripple Creek, CO; one daughter, Patti Turner Denison and her husband Ray of Lake Cormorant, MS; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Turner also leaves behind a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her loving husband of twenty-nine years, Farrell Wayne Turner; her parents, George Howard and Rebecca Pearl Barnes; one brother; and two sisters.
Visitation for Mrs. Nancy Lou Turner will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018, from 2:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. at Getwell Church (7875 Getwell Rd.; Southaven, MS 38672) with the memorial service following at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel at Getwell Church.
