Myrtle Jane Stone

Myrtle Jane Stone, 94, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 peacefully in her home in Southaven, Mississippi. Family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). Interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671).

Myrtle was born on April 7, 1927 in Pound, Virginia. Her biggest accomplishment was her very large family. She will truly be missed.

She leaves behind her children, Ruby Jane Stone Belew, Alan Stone (Linda J.). Judy Nell Philips (Winfred), Patricia Ann Goodman (Martin), and Horace Glenn Stone; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Myrtle is preceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, Mr. Dorris Stone; children, Jim Stone, Billie Joe Stone and Johnny “JD” Stone; parents, William Basil and Viola Church; 9 brothers and 2 sisters.
