Mary E. Ivy Beam,
91, was born October 29, 1925 in Drew, MS and passed away December 11, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Beam was a door greeter at Wal-Mart for 15 years; she loved people and was an avid reader. She is survived by two sons, Olen “Jim” Beam and his wife, Pat of Delaware and Don “Donnie” Beam and his wife, Melanie of Pelahatchie, MS; three daughters, Patricia Beam, Sheila Marston and her husband, Bobby, and Beth Butner, all of Southaven; her devoted grandson, Bo Poppelreiter; one sister, Bettye Landwirth and her husband, James of Inverness, MS; her special niece, Ann Ashley of Florida; 15 other grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jackie, Joel, Jennifer, Michael, Chris, Josh, Riley, Macey, Matthew, Jeremy, April, Andy, Adam, and Ryan; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and her “Baby Girl” Gizmo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haskell Beam; parents, Clarence and Eula Ivy; and one brother, Buddy Ivy. Visitation will be Friday, December 16 from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven.
