Martha Erwin Harris Holland Baptiste

Martha Erwin Harris Holland Baptiste, 88, passed away

Monday, January 21, 2019, at her home in Southaven,

Mississippi. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 2,

2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Minor Memorial United

Methodist Church in Walls, MS. A memorial service will

immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is

in charge of arrangements.

Martha enjoyed many things in life including teaching, fishing,

gardening and reading. Oh how she loved to read. Martha

would read any and everything she could find. She also

enjoyed all the activities like playing bingo and cards at Life

Pointe Village. Most of all, Martha loved and enjoyed her

family and her friends. She will be truly missed by those who

knew her.

Ms Baptiste is survived by her son, James (Anna) Holland of

Walls, MS; grandchildren, Samantha of Oxford, MS, Brett of

Walls, Daphne and William of Hermitage, TN; sister, Wanda

Fowler of Brandon, MS; daughter-in-law, Pat Holland of

Hermitage; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Baptiste;

son, William Holmes Holland III; parents, Edward and Maggie

Harris; adopted parents, Frank and Lillian Erwin; sister, Edeen

Galbreath; brothers, Kenneth Harris, and Joe Frank Harris.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that everyone reach out to

that person you have been meaning to call. If you want to

contribute in her memory, then do so to any church or charity

of your choice.
