Martha Ivy Massey passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the age of 81 in Southaven, Mississippi. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Visitation will begin at 1:00pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00pm. All services will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E., Southaven, MS, 38671.
Martha Ivy Massey
was born on February 26, 1942, Memphis, Tennessee to Chester and Jewel Ivy. She had a love for all people and all the people who met her had a very special love for her because she was easy to love. Her heart was big, but it was most full when surrounded by others to the point that she welcomed over 55 people to share her home through the years. She was a big jokester making April 1

(April Fool’s Day) her favorite day of the year. Wherever she went, Martha was truly the “Life of the Party” because she embraced life with a joy that was infectious. Making people smile and find happiness in their own life was a daily goal that brought her joy. She loved to dance, go to the casino, and Family Game Night was her favorite because she was laughing and surrounded by those, she loved the most.
She leaves behind 3 children; Kelley (Bob) Benson, DeWayne (Donna) Gunn, & Pepper (Jeff) Glenn, 10 Grandchildren; Taylor, Brittany, Hunter, Ivy, Jay, Dillon, Dalton, David, Shelly & Gattlin, 7 Great-Grandchildren; Aiden, Lillee, Axel, Jax, Paul, Mckayla & Rylan, and 2 Honorary Sons; Keith Porter & Joey Cannon.
She is predeceased by her parents Chester and Jewel Ivy, Husbands; Jerry Gunn, Ernest Tucker and Bill Massey, Sons; Scotty & Kevin, Sisters; Ruby Schrock & Louise Henson, Brothers; Larkin Ivy, Cecil Ivy, Zenas Ivy, J.C. Ivy, & Eugene (Heavy) Ivy.
Memorials in lieu of flowers: The family has requested that donations be made to any Charity of your choice.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
