Marla was born on December 16, 1958, in Houston, TX to Marcus and Mary Jo Beckham. She was the baby of the four children but always was the one to rule the roost! She was always mothering to her siblings and continued that trait throughout her life. She excelled in school, was part of the band, playing the flute and was a cheerleader. She was known for her big, blue eyes, long beautiful hair, and a smile that would light up the room. She was a wonderful sister, and an amazing friend. She was married to her best friend, Rick Eads for over 30 years, had three daughters, and many other adopted kids she loved as her own. Always involved in school activities, being a mentor to so many, and cooking meals big enough for an army! She loved dancing, painting, shopping (Lord did she shop!) and making others happy. To know her, was to love her.
She leaves behind her daughters, Talona Adney (Clayton), Deanna Plunk (Doug), Dannett Burns (Sammy), Kathryn Haney (Dexter); grandchildren, Kara Curtis, Markayla Spencer (Alex), Keegan Spencer, Katelyn Spencer (Brandon), Brittney Maness (Ethan), Ashley Plunk, Lance Plunk, Colton McGarrity, Chris McGarrity, Cadence Napper, Chloe Napper, Ryder Burns, Alivia Burns, Courtney Bell (Coltin), Connor Napper, Tiffany Sevigny, Matthew Whiting (Nicole), Roman Haney; great-grandchildren, Treston Curtis, Austin Huebner, Langley Posey, Reese Bell, Elijah Bell, Violet Whiting; siblings Marcus Beckham, Jr., Michael Beckham (Linda), Mona Mooney; step-mother Jerrie Sue Thrasher (David); niece Candice Eden, aunts, Lela Sabean, Rondena Mackey; best friend and neighbor Kierra Mosby; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
