Margaret Kay Crawford, a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted homemaker, departed this world on November 19, 2024, at the age of 65, surrounded by her family in Germantown, Tennessee. Born in Germany, on July 3, 1959, Margaret's vibrant spirit, feisty personality, and unwavering love for her children lit up the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Margaret's life was a tapestry woven with memories of tender moments and joyful experiences. Her unique shopping trips with her children spoke to her nurturing nature, as did the vacations and adventures that created cherished family bonds. She cultivated not only beautiful flower gardens but also lasting relationships; her talent for arranging flowers mirrored the care she took in building a loving home, which she kept immaculately.
Her presence was a constant reminder of what it meant to stand up for what was right, passionately advocating for those who could not speak for themselves, especially children, who held a special place in her heart. Anyone who knew Margaret loved her for her fierce spirit and kindness, qualities that left an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.
Throughout her life, Margaret found joy in simpler pleasures, whether it be tending to her beloved plants, nurturing her pets, or spending time with her grandchildren: Taylor, Mirandah, Madelynn, and Jay, who were among her proudest accomplishments. Her legacy is enriched by her role as a loving spouse to John Crawford, supportive sister to Mary (Mike) Williams, and caring sister-in-law to Rochelle Crawford, along with a host of other family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Mary Louise Edgett, her son Eric Crawford, and siblings Johnny, Wanda, Harold, and Frankie Edgett. Their spirits are now united with hers in a serene embrace, forever watching over those she left behind.
A visitation will be held on November 26, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and a burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Southaven, Mississippi. In these moments, family and friends will gather to celebrate a life lived with love, courage, and an unwavering commitment to family.
Though Margaret has departed from this earthly realm, her legacy of compassion and strength will resonate for generations to come. As the flowers bloom each spring and as pets frolic in the sun, we are reminded of her nurturing spirit that continues to flourish in the hearts of those she loved most.
