Linda Lee McClain, a cherished homemaker and devoted family caretaker, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, in Southaven, Mississippi. Born on October 7, 1941, in Oregon, Linda was a guiding light in the lives of those who knew her, known for her selflessness and unconditional love.
Throughout her life, Linda dedicated herself to taking care of her family. She was a wonderful caretaker, always putting others first and ensuring that everyone felt valued and loved. Her personality shone as she cared for everyone, and her nurturing spirit created a warm and loving home for her sons, Stanley (Brenda) and Gary (Phylis), with whom she shared countless memories and experiences.
Linda’s pride extended beyond her immediate family; her legacy is beautifully reflected in her grandchildren—Bryan, David (Chelsea), Tamara, Joshua (Hannah), and Stephanie (James)—as well as her great-grandchildren, Bruce, Barry, Raelynn, Gracelynn, James, Ethan, and Elliana. To them, she was not just a grandmother but a confidante, a friend, and a source of unwavering support.
In addition to her familial achievements, Linda found joy and companionship in her beloved pet, Donkey Doc. Her bond with him brought laughter and warmth to her days, showcasing her nurturing nature not only toward her family but to all beings.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles McClain, and her parents, Stanley and Doris Smith. Though they are missed dearly, their love and values continue to resonate within the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her sibling, Stanley Smith, remains a cherished connection, carrying forward the memories they forged together.
Linda's journey came to a close after a long battle, surrounded by her family, who were steadfast in their love and support.
