Linda Nolen Doxey

Linda Nolen Doxey, age 83, of Olive Branch, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven.  She was born on November 29, 1939 to the late Hobert T. and Mildren O. (Morris) Nolen.

Linda worked as a payroll clerk for Methodist Hospital in Memphis and is a member of First Baptist Church of Southaven.  She moved to Southaven from Memphis in 1966 and enjoyed having conversations with her friends, spending time with her husband and best friend, Jesse, until he passed away, traveling to the beach in Florida, going to coffee shops.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jesse N.  Doxey, sisters Joy Williams, Patsy Stanford, and Betty Golden, her brother Gerald Nolen, son-in-law Daniel Dixon, and her niece, Donna Temple.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Angela Dixon of Baldwyn, MS and Pamela Fordyce (Rocky) of Eads, TN, grandchildren Alicia Dixon of Washington, DC and Jacob Dixon of Baldwyn, MS, sister Jean Dunagan (Cliff) of Southaven, numerous nieces and nephews, and her special friends and the staff at the Silver Creek Senior Living.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:00 pm.  Burial will be private at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Morris Chapel, TN.
