We honor and cherish the memory of Judy Elaine Walton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Judy's journey began on May 19th, 1945, in Blytheville, AR, where she graced the world with her presence. Her life's path led her to a fulfilling career as a staffing secretary at Putnam Hospital in Putnam, NY, where her dedication and kindness touched the lives of many.
Judy joins her parents Lillard and Eva Dell (Stewart) Herron, son William Walton, and brother Lowell Herron in their heavenly home.
Judy will always be remembered for her selfless nature; she was someone who consistently prioritized others above herself. Her warm and caring personality shone brightly, especially in her role as a devoted grandmother. Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often enjoying vacations down south with her children and spending her retirement surrounded by loved ones.
Among the many things that brought Judy happiness was indulging in Sudoku puzzles as one of her favorite hobbies. This simple pastime reflected her love for challenges and mental stimulation—a trait that added depth to her character.
One of Judy's proudest accomplishments was undoubtedly her family. She found immense pride and joy in the loving relationships she shared with her husband Robert Walton, son Timothy Walton (Peter), daughters Michele Arnold and Tina D'onofrio, sister Linda Sappington (Herbert), brother Lynwood Herron (Dorothy Jean), three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. While she may no longer be with us in person, Judy's spirit lives on through each of them.
In the hearts of those who knew her best, Judy leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be treasured. As we come together to mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived—the laughter she shared, the love she gave unconditionally.
Services to commemorate Judy's life will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven. A visitation will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on March 8th followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM on the same day. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Memphis.
To Judy Elaine Walton—may your kind soul rest in eternal peace knowing that you were loved beyond measure and that your legacy of compassion lives on in those whose lives you touched.
