peacefully drifted into the arms of Jesus on the evening of Saturday, September 16, 2023, surrounded by friends and family, at the age of 73 in Southaven, Mississippi. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Saturday, September 23, 2023, visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am, interment will immediately follow. All services will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E., Southaven, MS, 38671.

1949 to Tom and Mae Woods. He grew up in Mississippi and graduated from Olive Branch High School. Joe married the love of his life, Vicki Woods, in July of 1982 and they recently celebrated their 41

st

wedding anniversary.

Over several decades Joe built a successful HVAC business from the ground up servicing the Memphis and North Mississippi areas. He later expanded his business into Jackson, MS where he and Vicki relocated their family for several years before returning home to Southaven, MS to begin their retirement. Joe was sought out and respected in his field as a leader and expert in HVAC systems. He generously shared his talents and knowledge with many who are today earning a living in the trades or are operating their own successful businesses while he cheered them on. He was well known for showing up unannounced if he found out that someone needed help with a complex problem or they were financially unable to afford repairs. It was in his nature to take care of people his entire life.

Joe was an avid sports fan and a faithful follower of the Ole Miss Rebels but above all he will be remembered for being a gentle giant who was deeply devoted to his family.

A man who could relate to anyone and never missed an opportunity to share a kind word, lend his skills to help, or just call to check in on you. He was the best husband, father, and a friend to so many.

Joseph leaves behind his loving Wife of 41 years, Vicki Woods, 5 Sons; Little Joe (Kelly), Chason (Bre), Lan (Cassie), Joseph (Jacquelyn) , and Walton, 8 Grandchildren; Karleigh, Logan, Gage, Aiden, Landon, Peyton & Carson, 5 siblings; Barney and Phillip Woods, Tommy Deason, Ernie Brawner & Thomas (Kidd) Woods and special friends of over years The Chaney family.

He was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Mae Woods, and 5 siblings: Laverne Woods, Lee Woods, Gloria Woods, Donnie Deason, and Roy Brawner.

The Family has requested that all flowers/floral arrangements be sent to the Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E. Southaven, Mississippi, 38671.
