A beloved family man, David's greatest pride stemmed from his deep love for his daughter, Abigail (affectionately known as BooBoo). She was his heart and soul, the centerpiece of his world, and the joy he found in being her father was immeasurable. David also cherished the bond he shared with his step-daughter, Gracie, embracing her as part of his family with warmth and affection.
David's personality was a remarkable blend of kindness, competitiveness, and philanthropy. He had a profound knowledge of sports, recalling stats and details that made him a go-to source for his friends. His love for sports transformed into spirited debates and exciting moments, especially when the Dallas Cowboys played. Known for his generosity, David would lend a helping hand to anyone in need, often paying it forward through random acts of kindness that touched the lives of many, including complete strangers. He would give his last dollar to someone who needed it more.

He leaves behind his brothers, Michael Wolfer (Tina) and Robert Hall (Stacey), and his sisters, Cindy Boone (Billy) and Debbie Haven and his brother-in-laws Landon Pike and Clint Pike and his Mother-in-law Lisa Pike (Stan). David was preceded in death by his father, Jonathan David Blankenship, Sr., and his beloved grandparents, Dorothy and Charles Nichols, and Ollie and Henry Blankenship.
David's memory will be revered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will continue to echo in the hearts of those he loved and touched through his acts of kindness, competitive spirit, and unwavering dedication to family.
The visitation and memorial service to celebrate David's remarkable life will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. Visitation will take place on September 27, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
