Jimmy Ray Burt

Jimmy Ray Burt, 73, of Southaven, MS, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019, in Memphis, TN. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Gracewood Baptist Church (8551 Getwell Rd, Southaven, MS 38672). A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. also at Gracewood Baptist Church. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Ray Burt was born in Bruce, MS on February 11, 1945. Mr. Burt enjoyed many past times, one of them including, photography. He was apart of many organizations including VIP (volunteering for police department for Desoto County) and Desoto County Camera Club. Mr. Burt has been a faithful member of Gracewood Baptist Church for seventeen years, where he also became a Deacon. Although, Mr. Burt enjoyed many things in life, nothing came before his family. He loved being able to share laughter and memories with his family and friends. Mr. Burt will be truly missed.

Jimmy Ray Burt leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Sharon W. Burt; son, Billy Ray (Patty) Burt; children in love, Bill Vogle, and Derek Denman; two grandchildren, Cody Burt and Nena Burt; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Billy C (Ann) Burt.

Jimmy Ray Burt is preceded in death by his parents, Roy C and Esta Irene Burt.
