Hugh Milton Coleman, 79, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, in Southaven, Mississippi. The family will receive friends Monday, January 25, 2021, at Carriage Hills Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service. Interment will be after the memorial service at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Hugh Coleman was born in Oxford, MS in 1941. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and was a master gardener. He cherished spending time with his Yorkipoos Bukee and Curly, and his great-grandchildren, which brought joy to his life. However, Hugh was most proud of his walk with Christ. He was a longtime member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church and a beloved patriarch of the Coleman family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Dewey and Mrs. Gertha Coleman, and siblings; Lynn Bo Coleman, Harry Coleman, and Bill Quitman Coleman.
Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Mrs. Trudy Jean Coleman, his children; Donald Ray Coleman of Southaven, Mississippi Donnita DeeDee Coleman (Don) of Orlando, Florida, Hugh Milton Coleman II of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and David Wayne Coleman of Batesville, Mississippi, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his siblings; Dewey Michael Coleman of Helena, Arkansas, Benny Eugene Coleman of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Janie Solomon of Pulaski, Tennessee, Betty Ruth Fox of Pearl, Mississippi, Eva Youngblood (Carel) of Corinth, Mississippi, and Gail Willard (Johnny) of Arkabutla, Mississippi, and numerous nieces and nephews.
