Herbert Maise Swords, 76, of Southaven, MS, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018, in Southaven. A vistation will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS). A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. also at Twin Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Herbert Maise Swords was born in Pontotoc, MS on August 11, 1942. Mr. Swords enjoyed many past times, one of them including, fishing. When not fishing, one could find Herbert Swords watching racing. His favorite kind of music was country music. Mr. Swords also came from a big family with ten brothers and sisters. Herbert loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world.
Herbert M. Swords leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Deloris Swords; two sons, Neal (Michelle) Swords and Jeff (Judy) Swords; four brothers, Lanier Swords, Eford Swords, Jerry Swords, and Danny Swords; three sisters, Linda Stepp, Mary Ann Denton, and Jackie Swords; three grandchildren, Jackson Swords, Jordan Jenne’, and Jena Frye; and four great grandchildren, Lana Swords, Allison Boykin, Kandan Boykin and Brantley Battle.
Herbert M. Swords is preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Cora Lee; brother, Bobby; sister, Caroyln; and his grandparents.
