Geraldine Sitzes,
76, of Southaven, MS, was born September 27, 1941 in Woodruff County, AR and passed away September 28, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto. Mrs. Sitzes was a homemaker and a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southaven. She sang in the church choir, loved her Bible study group, enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and was a former framer at Artisan Frame and Molding in Byhalia. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mearl Sitzes of Southaven; four children, Marsha Reed and her husband, Gary of Olive Branch, MS, Cheryl McLean of Brentwood, TN, Gary Sitzes and his wife, Terri of Southaven, and Scott Sitzes of Cordova, TN; three brothers, Ralph Thompson of Rogers, AR, Daryl Thompson of Hunter, AR, and Donald Thompson of Lilesville, NC; seven grandchildren, Allison Moffett and her husband, Keith of Olive Branch, Tyler Bland and his wife, Aleia of Coldwater, MS, Kayla Reed of Olive Branch, Sean McLean of Arlington, VA, Brittany McLean of Los Angeles, CA, Adam Sitzes and his wife, Lyndsy of Senatobia, MS, and Weston Sitzes and his wife, Jessica of Southaven; six great grandchildren, Emma Moffett of Olive Branch, Maybree Bland of Coldwater, Lily Cate Sitzes of Hernando, MS, Levi Sitzes of Southaven, Sawyer Sitzes of Senatobia, and Caroline Sitzes of Senatobia. She dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. The funeral service will be Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Carriage Hills Baptist Church, 8352 Farmington Drive West in Southaven. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Carriage Hills Baptist Church.Visitation:
