Geraldine Sneed Rochelle, a beloved homemaker, passed peacefully at her home in Walls, MS on February 13, 2024. She was born in Memphis, TN on February 25, 1929. Geraldine will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and a caregiver who loved her parents. Her love and devotion to her sister were also cherished.
Geraldine was known for her strong religious beliefs and was an active member of the Horn Lake Baptist Church. She found solace and comfort in her faith throughout her life. In addition to her spiritual dedication, she had several hobbies and interests that she pursued with passion. Geraldine had a talent for sewing and cross-stitch, showcasing her creativity and skill with her hands.
One of Geraldine's proudest accomplishments was serving as the librarian at her church for more than 50 years alongside her best friend Edna Renfro. Together, they created a warm and inviting space for members of the congregation to explore the written word.
Geraldine's memory will live on in the hearts of her surviving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ira Daniel Rochelle, as well as her father Walter Sneed Sr. and mother Dewdrop Sneed. She is also preceded by her sons Don Rochelle and David Rochelle.
She is survived by her son Robert Edward (Terri) Rochelle, who will forever cherish his mother's love and guidance. Geraldine also leaves behind grandsons Ryan (Charity) Rochelle and Alan Rochelle, along with great-granddaughters Zoe Rochelle and Cali Rochelle who brought immense joy to her life. Her sister Minnie Campbell and brother Walter Sneed Jr., will fondly remember the time they spent together with their beloved sister.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Geraldine's life. Visitation will be held on February 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home located at 290 Goodman Rd E in Southaven, MS. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Horn Lake, MS on the same day at 11:30 AM.
Geraldine Sneed Rochelle will be remembered for her kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her gentle spirit and warm smile touched the lives of many. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
