Geneva Lavee Tutor Baker, 90 years old, was born January 4, 1931 in Calhoun County, MS and died Saturday June 5, 2021 in Ocean Springs, MS at Lighthouse Assisted Living.
She was the daughter of Rev. Artis H. Tutor and Jimmie Etoyle Burt Tutor.
She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker, and worked for 31 years as a sales clerk before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Paul Adron Baker; one daughter, Linda Baker Hallum, and her husband William; one grandson, Gregory Lee Hallum, all of Southaven; three brothers, RV Tutor, M.L. “Fats” Tutor, and Paul Tutor, all of Bruce, MS.
She is survived by one daughter, Kay Tanner, and husband Charles of Vancleave, MS; three grandsons, Adron Ray Tanner (Julie), and Hank Jay Tanner, all of Vancleave, MS; Jeffrey L. Hallum of Southaven, MS; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Tanner O’Neal (Kaleb) of Gulfport, MS; Mason Adron Tanner of Vancleave, MS; one sister, Thelma Liles, and one brother, Marvis H. Tutor, both of Bruce, MS.
