Gary Dean Riley

Loving husband and father, Gary Riley, age 67, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Gary was born to Helen and Troy Riley in Middletown, Ohio on March 10, 1954.

While working as a chef in Las Vegas, Nevada, Gary met the love of his life and wife of 33 years, Denise Riley, married and went on to have three children. In order to further his career, Gary moved his family to Northern Mississippi where he and his wife raised their children and he eventually retired in 2020.

Gary built his career doing what he loved – cooking. He became an executive chef, won numerous awards and even published his recipes. Gary’s favorite things included: his family, cooking, Kentucky basketball, the Cincinnati Bengal’s and Ohio State football.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Denise, their three children, Richard, Troy and Lauren Riley, and his six grandchildren. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missing by all.

A celebration of Gary Riley’s life will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
