Francis J. Miller, known affectionately to many as "Frank," peacefully passed away on May 14, 2024 in Southaven, MS. He was born on February 9, 1944, in Connersville, IN, to his loving parents Joseph and Mary (Wilhelm) Miller.
Francis led a life dedicated to service and faith After attending seminary school in St. Meinard, IN for one year, he graduated from Connersville High School. He went on to work as a baggage handler for Northwest Airlines and was promoted to scheduler of pilots until his well-deserved retirement. Francis' faith tradition was central to his being, and those who knew him could attest to his heart of gold and unwavering devotion.
One of the fondest memories cherished by Francis was the joyous celebration of Christmases. He had a special place in his heart for the holiday season – reveling in the beauty of Christmas trees and flowers. After retiring from Northwest Airlines, he owned Miller Christmas Trees, LLC and loved selling trees for Christmas, and he was also a faithful bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Francis was also a member of the Southaven chamber of Commerce and had also served as Ambassador. Francis found solace and peace in nature, often saying the Rosary and even crafting rosaries himself.
Among his proudest accomplishments was his longstanding membership in the Knights of Columbus, where he continued to serve others with compassion and dedication.
Francis will be deeply missed by his surviving siblings Carolyn Miller, Paul Miller, Rosie Miller, Nicholas Miller, Elizabeth Reeder, Martha Taylor, along with a host of relatives and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
In honoring the life of Francis J. Miller, we pay tribute to a man of unwavering faith, a loving family member, and a cherished friend. His memory will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
May he rest in peace.

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
