Dorothy E. “Dot” Brill Sutton
, 76, formerly of Pontiac, IL, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Dorothy was born on October 3, 1939 in Pontiac to the late Vernon and Ruth Yoho Brill. She married Warren Sutton in February of 1970. They were active in the Memphis Old Time Car Club. Dorothy was previously active for 10 years and was facilitator for Bible study at Olive Branch Baptist Church. Before her illness, Dot was an active member of Getwell Road United Methodist Church where she helped start a women’s prayer group many years ago. She loved her cats, Harley and Henry. In addition to her husband, Warren, she is survived by two step-daughters, Pamela Immke and her husband, Rick of Pontiac and Julia Sutton of Pontiac; one step-son, Randy Sutton and his wife, Michelle of Nesbit, MS; one sister, Ruth Robinson of Canton, TX; two brothers, John Brill and his wife, Pat of Pontiac and Chuck Brill and his wife, Myra of Rio Ruidoso, NM; seven step-grandchildren; and seven step-great grandchildren. at Getwell Road United Methodist Church, 7875 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS. The service will be
Monday, September 26 at 11 a.m.
at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to Getwell Road United Methodist Church. Local arrangements are in the care of Twin Oaks Funeral Home.
Calvert & Martin Funeral Home will assist with additional services and the interment at a later date in Pontiac, IL.
