David S. Willis,
50, formerly of Burtchville, MI, was born March 14, 1966 in Grosse Pointe, MI and passed away March 4, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto in Southaven, MS. Mr. Willis worked as an I.T. Director for the majority of his career. He loved his family, classic rock, classic cars, enjoyed playing and coaching hockey, and watching his son, Austin, swim. Mr. Willis was an advocate for Autism awareness. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sue Willis; two sons, Austin and Ian; mother, Nina Willis; three brothers, James Willis III (Debby), Robert Willis (Tammy), and Richard Willis; one sister, Deborah Blasutig (Rick); sister-in-law, Angel Gippert (Carl); brother-in-law, Ross Starkey, (Diana); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Willis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to the David Willis Benefit Memorial Fund, benefiting his children’s future education, at Wells Fargo Bank in Southaven, Mississippi.
