Darrell Cothern

Darrell Cothern, age 53, passed away on November 12, 2021, at his residence in Southaven, Mississippi. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Twin Oaks Funeral Home followed by burial at Carey Chapel Cemetery at 1:30 PM in Red Banks, MS.

Mr. Cothern was born on June 5, 1968, in Mount Pleasant, TN. He enjoyed BMX riding, and rebuilding his Chevelle. Darrell was a very hard worker and over-achiever and was voted as Southaven Employee of the Year in 1989. On September 12, 2015, he married his wife, Michelle Cothern. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a devoted friend.

His survivors include: wife, Michelle Cothern; parents, Dwight Cothern and Nell Joyner; sister, Tina Rimner (Keith); two nieces; daughters, Brittany Davis and Jessica Cothern; son, Dillon Cothern; granddaughters, Lilliana Holderfield, Nevaeh Cullipher, Amelia Campbell, and Natalie Marsocci. Darrell also leaves behind many friends including: Ronnie Favre, James Logan, Bubba Cotton, Mike Brewer, and Joseph Branch.
