Cordaryl Bryson Leverson, Jr., affectionately known as CJ, was born on August 9, 2024, in Memphis, TN, and found eternal rest on September 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Though his time with us was far too brief, he filled the hearts of many during his short life.
CJ was a fighter, displaying incredible strength and resilience that inspired those around him. He was loved, not only his parents, Cordaryl and Kadeja (Nichols) Leverson, Sr., but by siblings Gianna Grace Leverson (his twin), Gabriel Perkins, and Jayden Mitchell, who cherished every moment spent in his presence. He is also survived by his grandparents, Charles Nichols Sr. and Martha Leverson.
In CJ’s brief journey, he created memories filled with warmth and love, most notably the cherished recollections of being held, which echoed the bonds of affection that enveloped him. He may have lived a lifetime in just a few weeks, but his spirit and the imprint he left on the hearts of his family and friends will remain forever.
His legacy is shared with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom found joy in his laughter and presence. While CJ leaves behind a void that will be felt deeply, his memory will be a guiding light for those who were fortunate enough to know him.
CJ will be honored with visitation on September 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. Following this, a graveside service will occur, starting at 1:00 PM.
Though CJ's time was short, the love he inspired and received will echo in the hearts of his family for years to come. He is survived by them, but he is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Bertha Nichols, and grandfather, Ira Joe Leverson. The love they all shared is a testament to the strength and beauty found in family bonds. CJ's story is one of courage, love, and cherished moments that will forever be treasured.
